Acting Principal Brad Smallman is a passionate educator who describes the role of Principal as one of privilege.
A country boy at heart, raised and educated in the Western District of Victoria, Brad firmly believes in the power and opportunity of public education. He understands the importance of community and connection, and brings a proven track record of educational leadership success to the school.
Affording our school a wealth of experience, Brad shares his passion of working with families to improve the learning of all students and to make the school the best place it can be.
In 2013 while working full time as a classroom teacher, Brad returned to university to undertake a research degree examining assessment and the literacy gap within the context of a state government school. He has worked across all areas of school management in large schools, but his passion lies working in close knit communities.
Outside of school hours Brad enjoys spending time with his family, taking his two boys and sausage dog, Augie, on trips to Central Victoria, weekends away, and hosting BBQs for friends.
