Acting Principal Carlie Richardson has enjoyed living and working within the local Hamilton community for the past eleven years. Carlie is passionate about the education of the whole student, acknowledging each student as an individual with specific needs. Carlie believes in making connections in the community across services, working with specialists to greater support student development.
Carlie has worked within Special Education for ten years and feels to have this experience to bring to the George Street community is a privilege. Whilst working full-time in a classroom teacher role, Carlie completed a Master degree in Special Education. Carlie began her journey at George street in the Art teacher role, moving into classroom teaching and managing the Disability Inclusion portfolio.
Carlie also has a two daughters at home and works four days a week to balance the needs of her young family. This also includes cat Pom Pom and Siberian Husky, Bella. Carlie has a personal interest in Art and enjoys painting with her daughters in her free time, along with spending time exploring with her family.
